KLES B.M. Kankanwadi Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya Belgaum was established in the year 1933 by late Sri Basappanna Mallappanna Kankanawadi a retired police officer and a great philanthropist. The college is affiliated to RGUHS, Bangalore and recognized by Govt. of Karnataka. The college is center of excellence in research, medical education and healthcare services. The courses offered in this college are all approved by Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM), New Delhi and Department of AYUSH, Government of Karnataka and also placed under Category ‘A’ by MHRD. College offers Basics of Ayurvedic Medicine and PG courses for students. The main objective of the institution is to propagate and profess Ayurveda as best system of medicine and create awareness about Ayurveda. The college promotes health care and research activities, to adapt and develop new methods which create new era in ayurveda and to find medicine for incurable diseases.
