Gogte Institute of Technology Belagavi (GIT) came into existence in the year 1979 and comes under Karnatak Law Society under VTU (Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. It is an Autonomous Institution and is affiliated to AICTE. This is also NBA Accredited by AICTE for 3rd time in succession for the years 2004, 2008 & 2015. The college campus is spread around 23 acres and most of the area is green with mango trees. This college supports more than 8 under graduate courses and also around 8 post graduate courses which also include Master of Computer Applications and Master of Business Administration which are all of 2 years duration. This organization gives shelter to more than 250 highly qualified & motivated work force. Recently Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Computer Science & Engineering have been conferred with accreditation status by NBA.
